This is probably out in the left field.
We are removing ozone depleting refrigerants in favour of greenhouse gasses.
We are removing the gun that is shooting our left foot and shooting our right foot.
These refrigerants cost 3 times more.
Is it about saving our earth or saving our big businesses.

The ozone depleting refrigerants, such as CFC's and PCB's, only contribute chlorine molecules which act as a catalyst. The role of the catalyst is to lower the reaction energy, without actually being consumed in the reaction. This means that the chlorine keeps reacting over and over to produce oxygen from ozone. I do not believe we are favoring greenhouse gases. Sure the replacement refrigerant is more expensive, but it does not contain the chlorine!
