While it has been written off by most pro surfers, this electric surfboard can allow riders to catch faster moving waves or help rescue anyone who gets knocked off their boards.

Here's some tech specs for the nerds - the engine in this board is powered by li-ion batteries and produces up to 20 pounds of thrust for as long as half an hour.
